you know how some people say they are always the last to know. well, i am dammit! ever since we moved here we've seen that they are putting a coldstone creamery in right down the street. jay, huey and josh all rave about it. i think, eh, i liked the ben & jerry's... why'd they take it out? after that, my family brings it up one night. they are all going on about the icecream at coldstone and how good it is. so every i know had already been but me. last to know.
cake batter icecream... my new drug. i'm think i'm going to get it mainlined into my artery. yum, yum, yum. i don't even care that much about whatever they try to mix into it. the icecream itself is just so damn good. the one thing i learned though... the chocolate that they put on their waffle cones tastes like ass. literally. it's gross. otherwise, i'd totally recommend this place to anyone and everyone. you can get a nice little cup for a couple bucks, and it's heavenly.
don't be the last to know... it sucks.

i did it! i finally got a tag for my car. i am now street legal. huey starts school the week after next and i figured it was about time i actually used my $1800 investment. the thing about my car is that it is big. like hooptie big. really hugemongous. i'm always afraid that i'm going to clip another car when i'm changing lanes because it has such a huge ass. but it does drive nice and gets me from a to b, so i can't complain.
while i was out and about spending money anyway, i went ahead and got a radio for my car too. there were actually two already installed, the one that came with it and a cd player that looked like someone had gnawed on it. but neither of them worked. driving without music just didn't work for me. and listening to my iPod in the car with headphones just didn't seem like a good long term solution. i got a cd player for my car. my first cd player. it was just too easy. swipe the ccard, go out, installed in 20 minutes, and like that i'm bumpin with my own tunes.
okay, i don't really bump to tunes, but i was singing obnoxiously and having fun cruising around with my sunroof open. it's nice. i got to cross one of my goals for the year (buy my own car) off the list, and got my first cd player all at the same time. pretty exciting stuff, for me at least.
i'm coming off of a long 3 day weekend too. i was supposed to go to fla this weekend so i scheduled the days off at work, only to have a stupid hurricane come through and ruin it all. but it was nice and relaxing here at home anyway. we've been burning through netflix movies and i've decided this is even better than in demand pay per view ordering. i get to rent old and new movies all at the same time. it's great. i've got mystic river, wayne's world, and agent cody banks 2 all in my queue.
this whole service is the perfect example of everything that is wrong with my life, but i love it anyways. it's the perfect procrastination tool because with the right scheduling you can have a new movie to watch every night of the week. it's all at the touch of a button, and i can literally sit on the couch to order the movies from the laptop that is wirelessly hooked up to the internet. it's all too easy and this is both good and bad. but it'll do for now.
