It's my birthday... my b-b-b-birthday!!
and i get to spend it in chicago! i'm flying out at 9am to head up to the windy city for a wedding. it's a little exciting... first time i've ever flown on my birthday! sitting here, watching the clock tick closer and closer to 12am, i'm wondering how this years birthday will be. some of have been pretty eventful... while others have been very ho-hum. i don't think 27 is a particularly big milestone, but... my god... when i say it out loud i sound so old. TWENTY-SEVEN!! luckily, when i tell people i'll be 27 this year their immediate response is "no way! you don't look that old" thank you people. not that i have any idea what a 27 year old is supposed to look like, but i'm sure i don't fit it. in fact, i dread the day when i DO start looking my age. i have a feeling that i'll be wearing some kind of pantsuit combo when that happens.
so anyways, i'm going to toast to myself at 12:06am (exact time of my wonderful birth) and then hit the sheets. i've got a long weekend ahead of me and, let's face it, i'm not as young as i used to be.
